The boat looks cool. But 50kn with twin 250.? and they use 35% more fuel than the 250 Etec. I'm not impress by the verado, But like to hear about the performens after year.. JJ

Nice photos of your RiB.
I am also the proud owner af a pair of 250hp Verado. really an impressive engine. How long are the legs an which kinde of props do you use?
I can tell you that we didt 60 knots whit 23" Revolution 4 props. and this on a Valiant PT 850..

Best regards Flemming

Can't comment on the fuel consumption but once we have put some hours on I am sure we will have a better idea

The general belief is that you either love them or you hate them.
Not having had any experience with the Etec I would say I just love the Verado

I would say that you are one of a very few to have a pair of such on a rib. Well done. The legs are XL and the props used are 19". Our rib is probably much heavier then the Valiant PT 850 hence difference in speed although our GPS was on the blink so don't have very accurate reading

Please post a photo of your rib

This is from our first set-up. The bracket could not holde, so they but on a new on, a differend on. Whit this set-up we only go about 45 knots. and that is not satisfactory. We are wating for a new boat from portugal. this time whitout at bracket.

Looks great

The only downside that I can see is that the passengers don't have any back support nor decent grab handles to hang on to. Perhaps only the guy behind them. A seat strap to hold on to is not always the best solutionl.

I like the idea of the extension for the engines and did not know Valiant had gone down that road. I believe Zodiac Hurricane were first to fit such.
We are also thinking of such cos you can get rid of the engine well and increase the hight of the transom gaining more space on deck.
