Outboard Thefts W of Scotland

The season for nicking outboards is well underway (again!). Had the Suzuki 70 removed from the RiB whilst in the compound at Craobh Haven near Oban last week. Thieves simply cut a big hole in the fence and ground off the bolt locks on a couple of Boats and 'lifted' the engines, all next to a marina inhabited with lots of yachties. Appears there has been a few in the area recently. If it's not safe in a compound with CCTV in the W of Scotland where can you keep it! Time for the manufacturers to start looking at smart keys or something.
