Our First Rib

Hello all - what a great site and forums! My first visit.

Would you please be able to give me some advice about buying a first RIB?

Me and two friends would like to buy a RIB for about €6,000 (about £4,000) to get us going in this great sport.

What size / make / model is good as a modest start, combining safety, reliability, fun and sporty handling?

I would think we'd be looking at used rather than new.

We are based in Athens and it would be used around the Aegean.

For the money you say I think an oldish AVON SEA RIDER with a 40-50 bhp 2-stroke. This particular boat is one of the best. Have a look at the various threads and the for sale section
