Ouch petrol/gas prices

Just put a total of 35 US gals into the truck and boat @ $3.30 per gal.
That hurts.

Prepare to get flamed!!!
At £1 = $1.99 currently, and 3.8l = 1 gal: $3.30/gal works out at 43.6 p/litre!!!
With petrol prices over here at around 106.9 ppl consider yourself very lucky!!!
regards, Nick

No. It is not realistic to use the exchange rate to compare prices. Generally the dollar has the same purchasing power and the pound in the US., so it is like paying 3.20 punds per gallon to us.

So 85 cents per litre would be comparable to 85 pence per litre? I'd still prefer that to 107 pence per litre!!!
regards,
Nick.

Well we are paying $1.23 Canadian a liter for "regular gas" here on the West Coast.

Well, it was actually nickd that made the exchange rate argument .... but if I could go over there and buy some to bring home, I think I'd buy enough to see me through the season at least.

Come to think of it, if I could do that I wouldn't buy it there, I'd go to Dubai

What the hell, it's all a bit pointless. When did we ever meet someone who thought they didn't pay enough for their fuel.

Some friends of ours have just emigrated to Brunei for a few years,

Petrol : 7p per litre
Diesel : 10p per litre

so for me it would cost equivalent of £3.50 to fill my tank
