mollers
i know yours is a mariner as oposed to a merc salt water, which i fitted but as you say a newer engine and possibly fitted slightly higher on transom than it is ment to be. as i was told by sir Petrov to get best from her,
and i am a fat git to hoot,
there again boats differ in weight from day to day depends who chucks the resin at it on the day,,
+ the ranger console is by far a lot lighter than the discovery unit all adds up at the end

It was a very calm day with a slight following wind.

RIB was 2 up with only a half load of fuel (about 120 litres).

Your age shouldn't have any effect Mollers

less than 40kts does seem odd out of a 150 Opti though, that Osprey must be very soundly put together.

Foreheads!! That could be it. Yours is creating a fairing effect and deflecting wind over the A Frame.
