Mollers has just sold a 10 year old, smaller Vipermax only a couple of grand less. Roy Bishop sold his 7 yr old Vipermax with Mercury 4 stroke for just under 20k.

This is a 2 year old boat with the latest engine on. The absolute minimum I would expect it to go for would be around 26-27k.

Its these kind of idiot comments that show just how much of a prick you really are.

A very substantial sum I'm pleased to report.

I won't go into numbers, but I purchased the craft as an ex-demo from Ribeye in 2002, and after a number of years of the boat being worked hard both commercially (film and TV work) as well as leisure use, I sold it for 80% of what I paid in 2002, (albeit with the trailer thrown in).

There is a good market for these superbly built, exceptionally fast and attractive boats...they virtually sell themselves! Simply superb.

I've treated myself to another one as a tender.

A vipermax....an unremarkable and rather dull experience, but not surprising after being used to a Ribeye!

Yep bet it was dull on the Thames even where it can cut up rough around Richmond with all of the cabin cruiser wakes

What layout did the Vipermax have, is the owner on here, would love to hear what he thinks and his take on your Ribeye.

I tell you what Tim you are absolutely spot on The great thing about the Vipermax is that it is so sure footed and handles so well that it really is a very unchallenging boat to helm. It has no vices and simply does what it is supposed to.

Clearly the Vipermax is not to your taste, thats fine by me.

Although I have to say the only boat that I have been in that gave me anything like the feeling of confidence that I get from the VMax was a Ribeye.

Go Figure !

I think it was around 7 meters with a 200hp.

Don't believe the owner frequents these forums

So did they take your Ribeye for a spin, if so what did they think compared to the Vipermax?

I don't know what this argument is all about but my advice to Tim would be........
If you find yourself in a deep hole with a shovel, stop digging!

It's all a wind-up and Twim is loving it. He chose to buy a Ribeye as he admitted he knew nothing about ribs. He then received a fair bit of 'ribbing' from various members on this site for owning a mass production 'Ford Mondeo' of a rib that appeals to Mr. Average. By banging on with his ridiculous notion that a Ribeye is somehow superior to a Vipermax he's acheiving his aim which is to wind-up VM owners and some of the Ribeye detractors. Personally, I can't be arsed with it.

Don't bother to reply to his posts.

Where's the fun in that?

I am genuinely interested in timw's opinion and would like to hear more of his experiences in a Vipermax

'tis a wind up though
