What's the height of your transom, and the length of the motor?

You make a really good point, I fitted an engine lock to my engine last year, then had some boating fun, now need to lift the engine and will have to fight with my sikaflex to get the bolt out.

I guess the issue people will say is the water attacking the transom around the boat hole.

I have the dilemma as you have of making a few changes one or two holes, grrrrrr!!

Fighting with Sikaflex is one thing; due to an absent key, I had to fight with the f3*&in outboard lock!

Lump hammer, chisel, drill........ended up using a scouser.

Another headache of an evening,,

Plenty of meddling. On lake,,add sand move sand take sand out lol
But it's there now,,, well I think so. But truth will be found am sat on the sea ,, will carry some ballast with me,,,

Dropped approx 35 kg in front and its fine , just cut an area out of floor and took details/ profile for water tight under deck sand holder, Will fit a custom made CNC machined Ali locker lid for this That i can screw of and add or take away if I am wrong,,

Feel fairly confident now,,, even joked putting a 225 up its ass,,,speaking of which

Finally named it,,,,

Think I'll leave the engine where it is and put up with the splashing. I don't like near enough to a testing ground and don't fancy trying to 'dry my hole' in the open air at Ty Calch in time for the Anglesey run.
