Can you let me know what these ride and perform like please as i looked at a 6.5 vipermax with 175 on yesterday and looks were impressive, how safe a rib are they and do you know anyone selling a 585/6.5 one if they perform as well as they look.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Craig

Hi Butters, You only have to do a few searches on here to realise that Osprey are a highly respected brand and particularly the Vipermax. I'm now on my third having started with a plain Viper 5.25 then Vipermax 6.5 and now the 7.0 meter.

If you can get a 6.5 then that would be the best option they are superb boats and if they are set up right will give you years of pleasure. They are well built with all the hulls being built by one guy who really knows his stuff.

Regards the one on ebay, it looks ok, I would allow some extra money to get it up to scratch as it look a bit tired in certain places, the back seating is something that is more suited to family use and would not be my first choice however unless you are plannig lots of long distance trips in all weathers with 4 people on board when 4 Jockey seats would be preferable then I am sure it will be fine.
