Opinions Urgently Required

Guys,

After spending hours looking for consoles and not really finding anything suitable (double jockey, backrests and not to low) i require your opinions.

Do you think these jockey seats are too high and will look out of place on a SR4. They are 27 inches high to the top of seat pad.

I still require a console but might fabricate one to match the seats.

Honest opinions required as looking to purchase soon as i need to get the girl on the water.

Many thanks

Yeah, ridiculous. What exactly are you trying to turn it into, a mini Cobra?

With the right console they will look right. You fitting them one infront of the other?

Not at all, and they are not cobra seats but definately better than the searider console or do you disagree?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for feedback though

Those are Ballistic seats, IMHO they will look far too big in an SR4. You'll need a big console to make them look ok, probably too big for that boat.
Good seats though.

Top marks Tim, they are Ballistic.

I have only seen pictures and yes they do look a bit "Med Rib" but i am getting desperate and can't seem to find anything.

Do you know of anything in your area Tim? I will not put a searider console in it.

Cheers

Higher seating is better..

Searider consoles in original size are far too low anyway and don't allow you to take the shock in your legs if doing spirited driving.
However searider console and seating should be one unit to make it work/ look right..

I agree, probably a stupid idea thinking about the single seats

Why not put a Leeway console in like Nos did into his old SR4. Looks ok to me.

I personally fancy the idea of putting a Ribcraft console in my sr4, although not sure if RC will sell the console on its own.

Ribcraft will sell the consoles seperate but the price is about £600.
BMC sell small consoles. I'm putting one in my SR4 this time home hopefully. I'll post some pics to give you some idea what it looks like. Mine cost £150 for a bare console.

Cheers mate, will be good to see.

A few guys have mentioned the Leeway console, also as Tim pointed out; Nos had one on his SR4......if it's good enough for the Nos then it's good enough for me

I don't know whether to go for the seat cushion (£90) or have a go making one myself- it can't be that difficult and if i do have trouble there are enough sail makers locally etc to stitch the cover together.

I cant decide whether to keep the deck tangerine orange or flow coat white/grey obviously i need to decide before i buy the console.

Anyway guys thanks very much for your opinions, just saves the likes of myself making uninformed decisions and wasting money on gear that is unsuitable.

Most of the BMC console are orange but for £150 beggars can't be choosers. The colour of the BMC ones are a unique RAL colour for BMC so getting a match will be hard.

I looked at the Leeway consoles but got the BMC one as I liked the orange.

Looks good John,

I have decided to go for the Leeway however due to problems with their previous courier it is the responsibility of the buyer to sort out delivery. Bearing in mind the problems you had selling yours, i think i will drive up and get it.
