Opinions please!
Hi there, just joined this forum as I'm thinking of getting my first RIB. I've spotted this boat on eBay and would be interested in any opinions, positive or negative.

That rib is a lot older than 2015, it was retubed last year and the engine is 10 years old ...

What do you want to do with it? Sea, loch, family cruise, river, offshore? Different boats will be good at different things and if you give an idea of what you need you will find there are people here that will help you and give advice. Budget would help too 👍🏻

I have nothing to do with this boat but I'm just curious about the above point. For a 10 year old boat I personally wouldn't consider a missing transducer, "sloppy" remotes (whatever that means) and a rip in the cover as being massive issues. Simply asking because its always interesting to know what other people think when looking at boat adverts - would the above put you off buying that boat?

Hi, I'm looking for a boat for use in coastal waters (mainly NW Ireland). Will mainly be for taking family out whilst on holiday, probably towing some sort of inflatable toy and a bit of fishing. Budget is somewhere between £5k & £10k for 1st boat- once I've caught the bug properly I'm sure I'll end up spending more on the 2nd!

Got offered a 2nd chance from eBay on the nova marine rib and, after speaking to the vendor was reassured enough to go ahead and buy it.
