Opening up the hull

Morning...

Part of my new rib project is to rip out of the fuel tank in the bow (fibreglass) and put in a stainless steel one...

I say part of MY project, but I'll get someone who knows what they're doing... the manufactuer (supplying the s/s kit) says it's relatively simple for a boat builder...

However what baffles me is how on earth does one get into the hull of the boat in the first place? Isn't the hull & floor one sealed unit?

I'm just interested really in how it would be done...

Cheers

It'll be a case of cutting the deck off, fitting the new tank and then fibreglassing a new deck in.
