old ribcraft.

Hi
I am looking ata winter project to keep me and dave busy and have offered a chap £4200 for a 5.85 Ribcraft with 120 Force(nasty but goes) and a newish roller rapide trailer, single console new garmin gps sounder and icom vhf underfloor tank and A frame
damaged left tube (has a puncture which has been identified.
very very dirty and needs a bloody good polish on hull.
also new 5hp aux engine


does is seem ok to those of you who patrol the net looking for bargains.?

No I wouldn't go for it! What's the blokes number?

I haven't seen a Ribcraft 5.85 that cheap before, even if it did have a damaged tube. Is it repairable or complete new set of tubes? If repairable then subject to everything else I would guess it's a bargain. Force isn't the outboard of choice for most but if it gets you on the water! Just remember if you replace the outboard you won't get a very big PX for a Force.

the condition..

thanks,

the tubes are sound one side but dirty and slightly light,
the other side is an obvious puncture and we put washing up liquid over the whole lot and just had the one small puncture.
the glass is a little off colour as well but the engine is clean and the hull ok (3 small dings) all others A1.

If you patch repair yourself if apropiate put identicle patch on other tube .May help
