Hi Nick

Yes, the purchase was made through my company in France. If you look down the side of the tubes, you can see its name (VVTS). Ed did a great job of cutting out the logo...

How much did it cost you to make the tubes?

Hi Henry

It's probably not a good idea to use this SR as an example of how much a re-tube for an SR4 would cost as the criteria that Ed (Ribraff) was working to was somewhat different to a normal re-tube.

This SR is purely designed to be crane launched therefore emphasis was placed on reinforcing the tubes for the eventual knocks it will take during launch/recovery. A heavier duty fabric was used along with other mods to make it more resilient.

Im sure if you contacted Ribraff, he would be pleased to discuss costings with you.

What i will say though is that, considering the build qulity, it was very good value for money.

Simon

Homophobe.

No need for that. Just 'cos it's the only SR4.7 in the village.

I've heard that safety boats are better with a 4 stroke

A few updated pics of my SR4 build...

Found some time this week to build the transport/lifting cradle and progressed all things electric.

The cradle will be off to the galvanisers shortly.
For those that dont know, this SR4 will be crane launched from the back of a lorry. The crane can pick the cradle/ boat up and transport it to a quay/slipway then detach the boat from cradle and lower it into the ogen.

Just got the vhf and bilge pump to fit oh and fuel/water separator.

The inside of the console is certainly compact so the wiring had to be done as efficiently as possible.

I feel like a fully qualified gynaecologist now after installing all that through a 300x300mm aperture!

:-)
