Oban recommendations

We have 3 days up in the Oban area in a fortnight. We're staying near the Creagan Inn and will probably launch from Linnhe Marine. Looking for nice places to/trips to do, preferably with a nice pub/place to eat at the other end. We probably have a daily range of about 85-90 nautical in decent weather.

What should we be doing?

Just about to many to mention but here goes a few. Pier house, Lismore, Loch Gairloch good food, Loch Aline best burger afloat at the hut, Tobermory, Loch Sunart stop at salen walk to hotel, Oban itself, easdale of course.
Well theres a few for you to research all of them I could recommend.
Have a good time pity your not up for ERR but maybe next year when it goes back to May weekend.

I'd definitely put Tobermory down as a 'must do'.

Another suggestion would be to take a blast down to the Corryvrecken then over to Crinnan for some pub grub.

Where would you land at Oban? Use the marina and get the ferry across? or is there somewhere to land on the mainland?

Depends on how brave you are, there is a shingle beach right in the middle of town, a nice little ramp up to the main street and that puts you right outside the cracking little pup/restaurant Cuan Mor.

Depaends Alan its a fair stint Loch Linne down to Corry but you'll know youve done it. I am just belt and braces just in case he thought he could pick some up as puffin Divers would be the only place enroute

Aye, iirc from Linnhe Marina to Crinan is circa 26nm, that's not the tourist route though, that's direct, give a few more for 'investigating'.

It would be cheaper to fill up with 12yo single malt from the distillery in the town centre

A visit to the sea food restaurant Ee-usk right in the centre of Oban is recommended. Had a really good meal there on my last visit
Oban Seafood Restaurant, Lobster, Crab, Langoustine, Mussels, Argyll Scotland - Ee-Usk

The food is decent, but the service and attitude is something else!...after the way they treated one of our party last year,WE won't be going there again!
Do yourself a favour and Try the 'Sea Food Temple' (just along the Front) next time....you will have a pleasant surprise!
They have their own Boat...and WE can ALL avouch for the Quality of their produce!...and the owner isn't a Bad Guy either!
Although you do have to book!
Like Mick said the whole area is Best Cruising in Europe! A drop of sun and you won't want to come home!

It was the middle of winter when i was last up there (January past) , hence only about 6 other people in EeUsk which may have helped - but food was spot on.
