Numptie question

Hi all,
got my Bombard Explorer SB500, brought it home, found foot pump under seat with various bits to go on end.
my problem is I have no idea which bit to use.
there is a cap that unscrews and then there is a bit with what looks like a green cap with grooves,
have what looks like a pressure gauge that screws in but nothing happens.
any help gratefully received'
Cheers Mick.

Just use whichever bit stays in place when pushed in to the valve.

RIBase
Give the valve a good clean, they are generally easy to service and service kits are available if some valve parts are perishing. Just identify your valve and search the web for help guides.

found a company who make and fit tubes in Poole.
RodellaRibs, he said the valve is meant to leak very slightly and the cover is the main seal, went home and pumped up tubes and checked seal, all ok.
going to try boat out tomorrow.
happy days.

My Bombard Explorer has Zodiac valves if that is any help. I had to make a custom tool to remove them but it was easy once I did. Swapped them all out for less than £15.

Mickter - if you do ever need anything doing on the tubes, I can highly recommend RodellaRibs. Giovanni did a great job on my tubes several years ago now, with everything still absolutely perfect.

Very nice to have a local tube place in Poole that does great work :-).
