put a set of doel fins on my 3.5 sib 8 hp 4stroke all it did was slow it down by a couple of knots ,my hull length might have been too short ,,though they do work on certain boats /set ups fine ,,,,,, it could be that 2 engines are just too heavy for your set up ,eg weight /drag /balance ,, have you thought about taking an engine off and trying it with one or even placing the other engine in the bow just to see what effect it has .are you carrying 2 fuel tanks too.
