Could you tell me why you fibreglassed the tubes?
Was it so you could velcro the carpet lining on to the tubes?
Does the fibreglassed tube take the weight of the cabin?

The reason for the questions are that I am adding a cabin to my rib, it is held on by one transverse bulkhead at the anchor well and two for and aft frames at the rear of the cabin.

both answers are correct, doing what i have makes the hole thing a lot stronger, the glass will hold the cabin up as will the tubes but together it makes it really strong, that isn't the whole story and it's a bit more complicated than that, the carpet is glued on

Not sure i would have been happy if it had just been put on top and stuck on with hypalon, i think the whole lot would flex too much.
As it is, it's all nice and solid and instills confidence.

Would it have been OK to have been fixed with bulkheads, maybe, no idea. I also saw that it is/was done in a similar way to Biffs by Aquaflyte ribs, so it seems like the "right" way to me.
