Newbie looking at a 4m searider, needing advice

Firstly a hello to all, been a non member for a while and picked up some great advice and information from various parts of the forum over the last year or so. I've recently sold my second small boat (11ft Dory) and am now looking to get a Rib in a limited budget. A 4m searider with a manual start mariner 40hp is currently for sale on ebay and I've allready put him an offer in 2 weeks ago which has not been accepted, my question is, what would be a reasonable price to pay for whats on offer??

Seems like a good bit of kit. Obviously get it running and stop and start it a few times. Maybe even launch it. I'd be tempted by this one. If it is genuine then that price seems fair. ESP if the trailer is up to scratch.

I'm tempted too. Even if the engine is poor, then the boat and trailer look pretty good for the £

RIBase
I think I'd buy both, swap engines and sell the older combo!
Both worth travelling to view.

White hulled one probably 1990s
Would be asking exactly what was done to the engine "bearings"?
Boat would originally have had the four back to back seats and has had an Outhill console fitted.

Orange hulled one 1970s/1980s
Nice newish engine
Tube condition you can determine yourself - Avon fabric is pretty good and if it looks good, it is.
Look at the transom - any evidence of it swelling (easily if you look at the top) indicates decay. However you would hope it's ok if it's just had a new engine.

Looking forward to playing with mine tomorrow :-)
