Not cheap, but very heavy duty and is 2 speed and has a brake.
+1 got one on the trailer the revenger is on, great winch, just remember to take the handle off before you tow it or it may fall off on the way

I've been through 3 handles in the last year. They have a habit of getting stolen as well as falling off!

never had one stolen, but probably because I always took it off after one fell off on the way home, not cheap to replace either, but the winch is spot on, pulls our 23ft Revenger onto the SBS trailer no probs

I copied this bloke a year or so ago...

no negatives so far ?..one positive is you don't dunk the trailer as far in,(my wheels are in up to the tyre) to make the winding easier,.so as long as the slip is steep enough, your boat bearings will last as long as your cars.

Also much easier is you have a pontoon to launch yourself.

winch is terra 45 with dyneema line.

You don't have to go in wellies... you can put them on when you get there.

At Balloch you can walk the boat onto the trailer if you put it close enough to the centre jetty. And the slope is so shallow you could probably float it fully onto the trailer with a little patience (though I stress I haven't tried this bit).

Oh an +1 for checking the rollers are rolling. How bigs the boat? If it 6m or under I shouldn't think it ought to be *that* difficult to winch onto the trailer.
