New Upholstery

It's not until you see pics of your own rib, taken by someone else that you get a look and feel for how she sits in the water (see pics under Abersoch). What surprised me about MeMe was how loud her upholstery looks. One might expect to be sitting next to a band-stand on Blackpool Pier with those blue and white stripes.
Therefore, through the winter I think I'll look at getting her recovered. Does anyone know of a good firm capable of the same. Preferably one with whom you've had experience yourself.

Thanks.

You wont have any problems being seen by a SAR chopper but if you're really feeling a bit self conscious try

MeMe's seat covers

I can vouch for the quality of their work.

P.S. Thanks for the gift. It was nice of you to send me some perfume but I'm afraid I'm already spoken for

I hear Dulux do a nice covering, plenty of colours and finishes to choose from. In fact they do a small colour chart which I have, I'll bring it along on Saturday.

With regard to re-covering your upholstery, I would unhesitatingly recommend Laura Ashley(Marine)Ltd, who, I understand, are also able to supply matching curtains for one's bimini and, for a modest supplement, cushions with built-in EPIRB facility. Please note, however, that whilst waterproof to IPX7 standards, their fabric is, regretfully, not immune to the effects of cigar ash. Sir might also like to consider a sachet of pot-pourri to counteract the exhaust fumes from Sir's 2-stroke.

May I perhaps suggest that the band-stands one sees on Blackpool Pier are a tad more conservatively adorned than your rib, Graeme. Small wonder, then, that the pod of dolphins at Abersoch shied away from MeMe with quite such alacrity! Or was it, perchance, the equally loud Musto offshore apparel worn by its helmsman? Good Lord, one might have expected to be sitting next to a Parcelforce van!!

My kindest regards

Phil(Changing Rooms)Davies

MeMe, It used to be possible to buy vinyl paint. I used it years ago and it was excellent. At that time, it was available in motor accessory shops. If your upholstery is still in good condition, it would save you a small fortune.

Ian has pm'd me with the accusation that my posting above is of a vicious and vitriolic nature. I would like to go on record now as stating that this was certainly not my intention; I really liked your rib, Graeme, and your Yamaha only smokes on start-up. Furthermore, I am only jealous about your Musto offshore jacket because I could only afford the Spray Smock and the seats on your rib offer superior comfort to that of my Searider. I am also bitter about the fact that there is no room on my console for a cigarette lighter as there is on your impressively spacious console. I hope you will find it in your heart to forgive my comments and will perhaps reconsider any thoughts you may have had about litigation.

Fantastic

I came into the office about 5 minutes ago in a shocking mood, berated my secretary for offering luke warm coffee and my shipping manager for not moving a consignment when she should have.

I'm now rolling about on the floor clutching my sides in pain having laughed so much from the above.

Excellant, thanks......you've made my day, all of you. Well, that's it, she's staying as she is !!

Brilliant, I'm going back to read it all again.

Phil, you're welcome onboard any time mate, I didn't realise you were such a card !

In the office?

As a senior executive within a multi-million pound organisation, I thought that you'd either be at a PTA meeting or out on the golf course!

P.S. arrival at 0940hrs? you're sacked!
