Looks god that 20 should be fine. If not you might find that with some tweaks that engine might be able to be uprated to a 25hp. Or is it the 15 that is the same size as the 20 check around to find out

15 and 20hp Suzuki are he same weight wise, 25 is the same as the 30 weight wise I believe also but a noticeable step up on weight

That looks good HH, always liked the look of them. What factors made you change to this from the Honwave?

I'd think the 20 would be fine as the Highfield only weighs about the same as the Honwave and there's huge advantage to losing the flappy bottom of a SIB.

i think the 15 & 20 are the same ish 2 cylinder the 25 is a 3 cylinder and a lot heavier 50% ish

Hi guys thank you for the nice comments, don't get me wrong I do miss the Honwave T40 but I'll have better performance with the Highfield but will have to deal with slamming in a chop compaired to the Honwave the speed will be a big advantage if I need to break for cover if the weather turns.
Fenlander I missed my rib that I sold two years ago and this kind of gives me the best of both worlds sibing and ribing bit only time will tell.

We went from SIB to RIB and to date never noticed this slamming. The RIB handles it far better as the V cuts and divides the water while the SIB would slap and bounce on top not to mention the horrible feeling of flexing underneath our feet. No doubt the jockey seat aids comfort greatly so it's not like for like. I can understand slamming might be the case comparing with a f-rib but look how flat bottomed they are. You'll not miss the Honwave for long, we have better memories with the RIB.

Did you spot the size limits and file size limits?

I suspect your posh new phone takes some big pictures that need scaled down ?

Either that or an odd file extension like jpeg instead of jpg

I will be very interested how you get on with the high field. I am in the same situation ,I have a t40 with 20 hp honda . I have a box fitted at the bow with anchor and kit which has to be moved to blow keel up, a pain with the wiring coming out to feed my f/f and light. Although the t40 is only 8 months old I noticed some small bulges in the hull last week so I striped the floor out and was amazed by the amount of mud ,grit and fishing beads etc, this was causing the lumps and have left a far dent in some places. Although the highfield is a bit smaller with the fuel tank and anchor stored neatly away and with the pipes and cables stored under the floor I think I will have more useable floor space. Will be interested in the ride quality, slamming if it's a major problem compared to the t40 also if it's as dry a ride as the t40 being it has smaller tubes. Was looking at second hand 4 meter ribs but the ones I could afford are 15 plus years old by then the tubes must be nearing the end of there life ?.
