Be interested to see what you make of it as i am thinking of getting one. I currently have a sib with a 15hp and at times would like a bit more go.

Smart as a carrot, looks really well. I fish off my sib so know what you mean about a bit more seaworthiness and space.

Fantastic. Always wanted an SR4 (had a 4.7 once) and that looks just about 100% perfect, the ideal step up from a typical 3.5m/15 hp SIB.

I looked at that, v nice boat. Only downside was price and no PTT.

(Price as in affordability, not value I might add!)

Lovely clean boat. Not many about.

Very Clean looking Rig...paying a little more for a decent and well maintained Rig is always a good investment for the future

I agree with you.
Felt the price was fair but the fact of it being 2 Stroke and no PTT put me off.

I'm still looking for a clean SR4 with a 4 Stroke 50 if anyone's seen one.
Budget is flexible but then again I saw this for 6k and thought it was way to much.
Do any of you have a clue in what it may be actually worth?

PTT is only an issue if you constantly go in shallow water, especially if rocky. If not, it's not a problem really, though it's nice to be able to trim the boat depending on sea state and load distribution IMHO.

As for 2Stroke, doesn't bother me. A 40/50 isn't going use much fuel anyway. An old carbed 2s 200hp would just guzzle it. :-0

A clean one with a 4s will be rare.

That one looks cleaner than any ice seen in a long time that are for sale. It's probably worth 5-6k as Am equivalent new boat would be a darn site more. Go get a quote from Ribcraft or another reputable deep V hull and it'll cost you double figures!

But HP its not a new boat. It's not new toobs its not a new engine. No warranty. Trailer presumably not brand new. Certainly it looks like pay and play with nothing needing tweaked.

To try and be realistic two comparators:-

Brand new, 4m RIB plus engine plus trailer will be £10-15k last time I looked. Warranty etc. Get exactly what you ask for. But sell in 4 years time you won't get more than half that back. Cost of ownership £1.25k to £2k/year

if you ignore labour cost on a project boat, decent hull with shot toobs £1k, new toobs £2-2.5k, trailer £750-1000, decent 50hp engine 2-3k. Console, a frame, jockeys, £750. So £6k is a decent price..

Resell in 4 years time this has to be worth £3k pretty much no matter how much you abuse her... So cost of ownership £750/year. You'd normally on an old boat have higher running costs though. But I doubt with that tidy a boat they'd be that high...

I think you've contradicted yourself there. To me PTT is not about shallow water, tilting the engine is easy especially if you have crew but adjusting trim for the weather or load is very nice, and can be darned annoying not to have depending on how and where you use it.
