So it says in RIB Int this/last month.

Noticed it yesterday, half page advert by Scorpion with a computer generated illustration of what it looks like.

Do you think Hugo would mind if I scan it for you?

Nasher.

Edit
Just remembered the mag is on my desk at work, I'll do it tomorrow evening for you unless somebody gets there first.

I got a press release about it yesterday: "By bringing a 6.5m at £35k into the arena, owning a Scorpion suddenly becomes more affordable and easier to justify."

Form an orderly queue please!

Does the press release mention the spec of the £35k boat?

Was the Ribex demo model pictured above, priced up?

No, but it also says "a brand new and more affordable 6.5m sporty open RIB starting at £35,000" which suggests that you might end up paying rather more!

A previous press release includes the following info re spec:

"Scorpion is producing two versions of the 6.5m; the Basic model package at £35,325 inc. VAT and a Deluxe model priced at £38,750 inc. VAT.

Included as standard in the basic model/price:

Famous Scorpion deep-V hull
2 x 2-man jockey seats
New ergonomically designed console which incorporates a forward facing seat
M84 8”Northstar Chartplotter and VHF Radio
Suzuki 140hp* 4 cylinder outboard engine
SeaStar hydraulic system steering
Five chamber Scorpion made, Hypalon tubes in one colour with rubbing strake, and moulded grab handles
Lopo Navigation lights
Underdeck built-in fuel tank +/- 160 litres

*Other engine options available Yamaha 150 and Evinrude 130

The Deluxe model incorporates a different seating plan with twin single jockey seats and an aft bench seat. As usual with a Scorpion there will still be the opportunity of a bespoke version by arrangement.

The Basic and Deluxe 6.5m demo models will both be on show and ready to demonstrate for the first time to the press and public at RIBEX in Cowes, Isle of Wight, between 8-10 May."

Over £35k for a 6.5m RIB with a DF140.......
I wonder how much extra for an A-frame?

ASAIK that is the price for the one in the photos; ready to go but without a trailer.

It would be interesting to compare the price to another make with similar spec.

Osprey 6.5

If you went for a Vipermax of the same size for that money you would also get a Dixon Bate Trailer (2k), A-frame, 4 single jockys, 200HP E-tec and several thousand pounds of change.
