New Ribcaft for Mr Brooks!

Well as promised here are some more images of "Mickie Dee Bee" in build.
She has finished in the laminating shop as moves into another area of the workshops tomorrow.

Here is where the fixtures and fitting get added.
This will inc all the electronics and the engines!

The webcam should also go live early next week.

The console looks far too back in the picture. You are going to add 2*210 kgs of engine at the back- won't the trim be a problem?

Presumably it'll be fine with 10 passengers up front and a life raft and coded spec anchors and chain.

Have you considered any ballast tanks for then your running without passengers when it probably will be very light in the bow?

Thank you for the comments,

Eupa/Simmons

I am sure, having made one or two of these, that the guys at Ribcraft have it covered but I will ask the question.

Many thanks

More pix of the new build

Some more pictures arrives this evening.

They have mounted the two engines and most of the electronics.
The dials and electronics have been "dry" fitted so far.
They will get lined up and bounded in over the next few days.

Have to say, even though I may be a tad bias , it is looking very smart.

Please keep the comments comming

Thanks Richard, Yellow with back trim and patches etc.

You at the Thundercat worlds?

Codders,

Cost, weight, fuel etc would out way plus points of 300 horses.
As most, if not all, safari type boats are speed limited via insurance 250hp will do me fine.

NautiandNice,

I always wanted to ask which one is which? are you nauti?
And no pressure from here but you need that tough looking 7.8m!

Mike

Top idea will ask in the morning!
Am sure what the reply will be and am sure the second word will be "off"
Hey but worth an ask

Nice looking boat Jon. Do you like electronics by any chance???

Remember boys, size doesn't necessarily mean everything - but sometimes it can help ;o)

Ahh but the 300 is basically the same engine as the 250!!!

Having said that I am sure it will still be more than fast enough - you entered the Round Britain yet - wonder who you could get for sponsorship???

Oh Sarah you clearly don't know me very well!

What you can't make up for in size you must with quantity!
So I have gone for a big boat with lots of toy's

As a wise old fisherman once saaid to me " its not how deep you fish but how you wiggle the bait"
Not that there will be any fishing from the new boat!

Another very dear friend has the moto where he works of "who dares wins"
Most men have the motto "he who dies with the most toys wins!"

More pic shortly

Well as promised even more pix just hot of the interweb!

Progress seems a tad slower today.
I feel this is down to the fact that Puppy is trying out for "QVC" or "The Price Is Right"

Don't give up the day job Puppy!

kinda worried about your "dear friend" "Who Dares Wins" is the motto of The SAS. !!!!! You must mix in some unusual circles.

Camp fitter

Jon that photo of the qvc rep worries me, please promise only non camp sales reps will be allowed on the boat or I'll have to sink you. Do all staff now wear coordinating gear?

I drew the line at 2 radios, 2 gps and echo plus instruments, now getting the epirb, 2 handheld and all the other vital toys in place, may actually launch it this week.
