Oli,

We could put together the following for close to your top end budget...

Vipermax 6.5 meter with Sea Ranger Console,2 jockey seats, rear moulded bench seat, powered by an Evinrude E-tec 150HP or possibly a Mercury 150 4 Stroke.

If you wanted to look at the Vipermax 6.2 with a 115 or 130HP we could certainly come well within your budget depending upon your choice of gadgets of course !

Feel free to drop me a note if you would like a chat

Thanks for everyones input on this.

It got down to two boats for us, The Ribeye 600 and Brig Navigator 610. I know these boats aren't to everyone's taste, but they suit our lifestyle perfectly.

We test drove them both down at Dartmouth and Salcombe, and found the Brig to be the nicer boat, bit more lively and certainly not as heavy in feel, and then tried them both again, back to back yesterday at the boat show, in horrible wind, rain and a typical Southampton chop. Once again the Navigator came out on top, for us. I must say we have also had excellent customer service from both companies and wouldn't hesitate in recommending either.

Our order has been placed, for a 610 Navigator, with a 130 Etec, in black fabric impression Hypalon, grey gel with red seats and almost every option. We got a cracking deal and a very good p/x price. We are having it built for next March. We are also pondering whether to have a 150 etec on it

Hi Oli- Just out of interest, without giving away what you paid, was there a price difference between them

There was, but not much in the end, even though I had a bigger engine on the Brig.

Thats what Im thinking. Most of my driving is pulling skiiers, boarders, rings etc, so will certainly help there. Will obviously look better with 150 written on the back.....

Would you have spent £100 more on it? Was it worth that much if they had been tougher on price? Just wondering its incredible what you can do with £100.

A couple of changes have been made to the order now

I'm now having red seat cushions, which will look something like this; (although we are not having the jockeys, we are having a flip bench, with more room behind)

And Evinrude have just released a new colourway, which wasn't originally coming to the UK, but Brig have managed to swing it, SO it has a 150HO going on it;

I think it will look quite smart
