It's unlikely that Wolf Rock (They're neighbours of ours) fitted the motor as they only rig Brigs from new so it has been like that for a while - I guess from the way you wrote your post someone bought it from them and they sold it to you? If so it's been fine through at least two owners so don't worry about it and try it!

Yes, I believe the boat will be generally fine, and was supplied new and setup as a working compromise by Wolf. Except maybe in larger sea where I can imagine the prop coming out on some sea states. Most boats will do this at some stage of sea conditions, I just hope it does not ventilate in what I consider smaller seas....

(The Hull ferry does it....lol.)

A grinder used in proper skilled hands cuts perfect straigh lines, what I really like about my tech modification is that don't need to center engine each time it's placed on transom, just throw it in middle cut, tight clamps and that's it, fastest setting like that, impossible.

Used my long transom with my short shaft engine for some time, but after chopp down the performance difference made all the boating fun at any sea condition.

You need to place a mate up front when checking leg height/water flow for cav plate/boat to remain paralell to water surface. If you are a very heavy guy, place a sumo fighter as a figurehead...

Probably "no" to both questions. You'll note that Loco is "our Man in Peru", so you have to allow that sometimes, somethings get lost in translation. He knows his small boats and motors

Don't get me wrong, but how would you describe losing 2 fingers, a casual, fatal, unwanted, circumstancial accident by who knows which strange circumstances ? What would be the correct technical word when you lose 2 fingers product of unskilled tooll handling ? Events that are not planned causing injuries or even death are generally denominated in the category of fatal accidents...

In case there's a bad interpretation, those fingers reffered as not being mine, corrspondonds to my grinder posted pic and not a sarcastic refference to Thomas friend issues.
