Oh yes for 2011 I am having a Parker 650 with QSD 2.0 (170HP) and I am even thinking of bring it over by sea at the end of April but that will be subject of another thread

A timely re-start as yesterday we were talking to some people about getting a grant to help towards the boat, a fair portion of the work it will do is environmental monitoring and there is no governmental body here to do anything like that.

Maybe, though historically experts with no local knowledge tend to the be the preferred choice of Channel Islands governments

Potential 2nd hander...
My eye has been caught by the Redbay 8.4m being offered here in these very pages. 
My eight year old son tells me it looks too much like Martini II, which suggestion I am sure will make Matt most indignant. 
Pros...
Fantastic hull design,
Loads of deck space with the jockey seats removed,
Option to refit the inboard.
Cons...
Would need a fair amount of work to get it to spec.
Twins are not my thing.
Possibly too big.

The temporary twin installation is not all bad, and the more it bugs me the more motivated I would be to find a nice diesel engine. That and the free fuel. And the lure of returning to jet drive.

I 'm sure there's been a Hamilton J/D for sale on here recently
Although I'd want to discuss the price, £10k engineless No mention of an electronics package etc, I guess you're paying for a lot of seats 
Worth noting, quite a bit narrower than MII, internal beam 1.6m to my 1.9, external 2.77m to my 3.1m
