can anybody find the post from dirk (more like DIK) when he said something like this "nothing wrong with slashing, just don't get caught"

i think he must have typed it when drunk and realized when sober, so went back and deleted it...

Can you try to post without the personal insults? General abuse is fine if used with subtlety a la gArf, but you don't quite seem to have mastered that yet.

The Grim Reaper is the man to point the finger at for post cropping. I don't think Dirky boy is the type to retract his posts...

...and whilst you're at it, don't you think it's reasonable to upgrade your membership to "trade" as you are advertising on here?

No we don't!

B*gger, I'm helping!

I notice that you side-stepped the trade subscription nicely there!

I think you should splash out on a dictionary to sort that spelling out!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I know absolutely nothing about boat design, but I think if you have taken all the good points of other manufacturers and integrated them into your own design that has to be a good thing. Surely, its an evolution of the of a series of different designs. If you have been influenced by Phantom it should be bloody quick, what engines going on it and whats it rated to?

Leeway, if you have nothing to be ashamed of, why do you keep trying to deflect attention from yourself? You were only too keen to get the attention in the first place with your pictures of your RIB and console work!

Please would you answer the questions in my previous post:

"Leeway, perhaps you could clarify just how your hull came into being. What aspects are taken from existing hull(s) and what aspects have you changed/designed yourself? And did you build your own plug? Thanks."

Thank you.

come on guys

this thread is gettin massive, and is hard to find any useful or interesting stuff on it! what would interest me is more pictures of the finished rib, if it is done yet, also surely all ribs are influenced by others, the whole concept is just one basic idea with people trying different hull shapes and lengths, therefore i cannot see what is wrong with leeways design, which although may be similar to others is not 'exactly the same' as any particular boat, therefore he may have gone, yeah humber use high bow for better offshore performance, proven idea, itd be a good idea to give it a high bow, oh and also phantom have nice idea of shape of boat to get nippy speeds, try and incorporate that ihno design, oh yes and it is proven that chimes and spray rails are effective, ill use that too, ......now the blending and they way in which these are mixed can make a variety of designs, many combinations, but is in no way a copy, or splash, after all the rib has been evolving for a while now, and how does it evolve? is develops an already existing design, or designs, the thought that any new rib is completely new isnt accurate, but people can still have their own designs, unique to them, which will be a combination of ideas in existence!..................please keep posting pictures, open a new thread if this one gets too crowded, or has deviated too far away from the topic!

deflect attention from myself keep this post going my books are flooding with work.

what more do you need to know apart from the phantom gave me a lot of insperation. i started with two hard top boats cut and shut them made a few tweeks and then made it into a rib(designed internal structures, flanges, transom and had to work to british standards to lay-up.) you dont need any more info than that.

my designed rib is lovely aint it first few have gone at discount rate price will increase any day. so be quick.
