Another update
Christmas closes the factory so here is the latest image of the new build. Tubes ready for bonding on their return new year. The image is prior to extra work completed and show transom washwell build

No the transom has been designed for use with this washwell as I have found them to keep a drier boat and then I get good use below the area for stowage. The coding requirements relate to transom heights and this meets that

Working on a consul forward with single and double jockeys up to 8-10. There is a back seat formed as seen in images(needs cushioning still fitting)
Code for Twelve, possibly will do 12 plus 2 if layout looks spacious enough, so we can do more transfers for events like festivals, Cowes week etc.
Fitting out with Yam 300, power steering and usual chart plotters and VHF etc. Just finalising best option on chart plotters this week and then will look at spacing for size.

More build images
Almost done, tubes have gone on and colour flashes being added. These images show the substantial keel guard, a view to the stern showing a large wash out area on each side of the bench deck sides. The bow locker is large and deep with a step up.

Looking good. That keel protector will stand some abuse!
Are the tubes blue with grey second layer on the tops?

The keel guard I believe is a standard on Gemini 850 hull, but had not seen the size till now. As you say great protection and even direction!
The tubes are grey and blue additions which were being worked on yesterday/today. Hope to have final look later or at worst tomorrow as shipping is then

I've seen the keel protectors on 730 and 550's I've used before for training/safety boat work. They are pretty tough!
Tubes should be tough as well if they are double thickness in most places.
Those boats are built like tanks and handle really well.
Looks like it will be mighty impressive when its finished. Can we come and see it come out the box when it arrives!

Raymarine Electronics package
Finally settled electronics package for 850 yesterday. I have chosen the E9 series chartplotter with AIS and I70 instrumentation with fast boat depth finder.
This also allows me to add links to Iphone, I pad etc

Very nice. What was it that sold you on the Ray kit over say, Lowrance or Charmin Garmin?
Personally I like the Navionics cartography. What do you see as being the big advantage of linking into the iphone and ipad?

I was torn between Garmin as used these for years, but also a colleague put them on his last year and they are good. VHF on Raymarine are rubbish still but their systems otherwise have been brought forward very well. So as this has more user options inc the App links I went for this as will be the new charter RIB 2013 and wanted to put a full package together with each supplier.
The links offered I think will enable me to download routes from the day onto phone app and then download at office/home to send clients. Saves taking out the card each time. I am still reading the options available
Since their changes three years ago I beieve they have come on in leaps and bounds on this kit. Garmin was my second choice eventually.
Still putting an ICOM boat VHF aboard.

I like the keel guard. Having tested the SR4 in my avatar before and after, it made a big difference (for the better) to the handling — much more sure-footed, and grips like anything. It'd be interesting to see what it's like on a much bigger boat.

More Equipment
checked today new levels of equipment to be fitted. As shown earlier an E9 Raymarine chart plotter with fast depth finder on i70.
The Power steeering unit has to be fitted within the consul and then the upgraded steering hydraulic hasp
