It's hard to tell from your photo, but the XR was a more bulbous hard nose than the the Lynx. Also, the XR had a groove on the top of the nose for a cleat fitting whereas the Lynx was a checkerplate plate effect in the gel.

There a few reasons why i would have a 2 stroke over a 4 stroke

* Its a race boats so you want good out of the hole shot power
* a power cycle every 1 up and down of the pistons instead of 1 power cycle every other up and down of the pistons like a 4 stroke
* awesome sounding motor
* the fuel economy is near the same now

Sparrowhawk re-furb

Hi guys

Where's the best place to source a new steering unit (cable etc), and two jockey seats for my Sparrowhawk.

It's looking a bit sad, and I've decided to cheer it up!
