New Navy rib...?

Has the Navy (or Marines) been buying some new ribs???

Out for a dog walk and saw a very sleek looking boat - certainly new to me and very different looking to the normal Pac22s and Pac24s...

Looked very sleek - long, thinner (?) tubes, without the deep forward hull of a Pacific. Water jet powered.

Put itself out of sight behind another vessel as soon as I turned up (possible coincidence...!)

Where was the location of your sighting ? Poole area ?

I saw some SBS-types undertaking an exercise in Studland Bay recently using heavily modified PWCs of some kind, but the accompanying RIBs (of which there were three) were outboard powered (interestingly they looked like 2-strokes to me, though obviously all black so couldn't tell for sure).

First one I’ve seen down on the Tamar - plenty of Pac24s normally out and about...

I suppose it’s also a question of being close enough to get a detailed look ;-)
