New Build 7.8-8m Tour RIB

Hey Guys & Gals

Looking to have a custom built 7.8-8m RIB built for 1-hr cruise ship tour use and slightly longer charters.

Would like to seat 11 passengers + skipper if possible, using a bench in the back, small console with t-top, and 8 pods in front.

Ideally a single 250hp 4-stroke would power it.

This is in the Caribbean and does not have to be USCG certified but has to be safe.

Any thoughts on the setup?

In terms of manufacturers, I've talked with Ocean Craft Marine and Ribcraft (USA). Any difference between the two, pros and/or cons of each?

Any other recommendations in terms of manufacturers?

Thanks!

I believe Andre sells the odd boat in that part of the world. Ask him for the good handgrips

I'd recommend Ribquest, they are good looking and very seaworthy boat, on their Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/Ribquest/posts/795562623856545 ) there is a post about a 7.8 tour rib coded for twelve that is based on the Menai straights. Hers a few photos of it if you can't get on the Facebook page.

You do not have to be sarcastic . You may not have liked my comments as truth sometimes hurts and especially that concerned the brand you known very much about.

We have several big ribs in the Caribbean and on Grenada there is a Parker 900 Baltic seasafari with jockey seats for 10 passengers and 2 passengers are seated on a bench seat which is incorporated into the console and a two man crew. For sure you want the passengers in front on the console so you can have full control of the and full view of sea conditions ahead. We position the crew on a raised platform if only jockey seats are fitted to improve this visibility. Look up our web page and if you are interested please send me an email.

Not at all as our bench seat is in the console a total different arrangement

You as a RB boy would be more likely to promote their business and never ours. Stick to what you have been appointed to do and just make sure the forum members behave themselves

By the way I am not grumpy just having a good time

Your best bet is a Parker Baltic, nice bits of kit and will work well with what your intending. At a guess Im thinking your somewhere like St Thomas or Grand Caymen, let us know where you are and post some pics.

Not in Cayman or St. Thomas, but close! I'll post pictures and location once my venture is sorted out.
