New boat & Back to a Rib!

Well after a few years running a hard boat I have bought myself something to play with when down in Salcombe! I found the old boat (7m with 220hp inboard!) just was not getting used enough to warrant it & the expense so I bought a 1998 4m SR with a 50hp Yamie on it for next to no money compared to what I sold the last one:!
The trailer is a bit iffy but will do unless I want to bring it home to Beaconsfield
. I would like to fit a Aframe I can tow from & some handles on the console for passengers to hold on to, but I will see how we get on this year B4 I do much!

Hey Nick, nice to have you back, I'm sure I'm not the only one that remembers you.

Hope you enjoy the new boat, it looks like a lot of fun.

Nasher.

Nope, Nashers not the only one, noticed you lurking the other day and wondered if you were coming back to RIBS

To keep my family of girls happy I had to be white hull & tubes!
As it is my eldest daughter tells me she will not be going in it anyway as it is far too small & old! (Spoilt kid ) She can stick to using the Bombard!

HI, the Uttern was a great boat & I was sorry to see her go but for our needs she was just too big! Our boating tends to be nearly all in Salcombe & SR hopefully will be much better suited to it as we can do the beach hoping we do with the bombard + towing toys & water skying!
As I was tending to us the bombard for towing But it was not much fun for me & a bit under powered for the job, the Uttern was just getting too thirsty on the petrol & my wife was always too intimated to drive it & as a result I have not been water skying since selling the Viper!
I will miss all the storage, the cabin, being able to enclose the back when the weather was not so good, being able to sleeping on her (the boat that is!) but I will not miss the fuel bills!

Nick
