New aluminium console

Hi guys , just debating if I should use winter months to install new console and seating. This would be out of aluminium I'm a tig welder and think it would look really tidy and allow me to put everything where I want.what would be best durable paint finish? Be great to hear your thoughts

I did one out of stainless on my Old SR4, Fitted a 60 litre tank under it and the battery.

Flatted down twin pack under coat and top coat

I think thats a great idea and would look good if made with checker plate aswell, especially if you can do as good a job as bedajim has done with the s/s, that's a quality finnish, wish I could tig weld, I'd be making passanger seats an all sorts.
Happy welding to ya fella.

That looks mint. Nice and light too I guess.

Does the metal get hot in sun though?

My little alloy rib hull is powder coated they say , its not scratched or chipped after a seasons use so far . Powder coating seems to be popular with alloy bits on bikes like wheels etc

The Searider had 10 mm female threads in the deck, so just bolted it down through an internal flange
