Need compass
I have a 4inch dia hole in the top of my console which is filled with a bottom of the range Ritchie compass. - worthless. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced compass that works on a RIB to refill the hole.

I have the 105 compass I find that the vibration from the engine when ticking over causes this compass to spin. I have since added rubber damping to the mount and will view results on my next outing

It's not interference from something when the engine is running is it?

That is what happens to mine. I assumed it was just a cheap compass.

I've been using the Plastimo Offshore 75 Compass with the bracket- a bit smaller than you need, but it is good enough for the job and is pretty stable. Would the flush mounting be picking up the vibration?

My 105 compass is not flush mounted it is on a bracket. The bracket is inturn bolted onto a SS frame to the front of the seating unit. I suspect that the SS frame is vibrating at with some kind of resonance when the engine is ticking over

Spinning compass
I was out yesterday after modifing the seating for the compass. The modification worked well and the small rubber mat that I placed under the seating looks to have solved the problem. New question can the 105 be swung? if so how is it done
