That will not be a problem Tim. While the staff at The Churchillian are very grateful that we have given them definite (deposit-paid) bookings and menu choices (so they can order in supplies) in plenty of time for the 15th, we did mention to them on Saturday that there were a couple of people who were still not able to confirm because of special circumstances. They are prepared to be very flexible about one or two last-minute bookings. So please 'phone them with menu choices and arrange to send the deposit cheque directly to them. Many thanks and it's great news that your friend will be joining in!

The contact details for the pub are as follows :

'The Churchillian'
Widley Walk,
Portsdown Hill Rd,
Cosham,
Portsmouth,
Hampshire, PO6 3LS [map] [gmap]

Churchillian Dickensian Christmas

Yes indeed Not-so Tiny Tim!

All go for Friday night. All dressed up for the occasion, we shall arrive there after 7.00.

The Churchillian is looking remarkably festive (they've dragged out a bit of balding tinsel and sellotaped it over the atmospheric grime on the windows).
The Bar Staff were beaming at the prospect of us all descending on them in noisy form and it has to be said they can't wait to fill our night with good cheer.

We shall occupy the coveted front area with panoramic views of the Solent (ok they've shoved us in the front with another Crimbo Do) and the requisite festive napkins, gaudy crackers and plastic holly will adorn the groaning tables.

Please bring a wrapped surprise gift (aka secret santa). If, like Hightower you're intending to wrap an old bilge pump then please include '101 uses of an old bilge pump' in case it doesn't land in a ribster's lap.

Suggested value of secret santa is 0.01 up to 5.00. Unfortunately, couples have to bring two pressies (one each) with of course the possibility of going home with two bilge pumps & '202 uses' etc.

Oh and NO BILGE PUMPS please
