A small fortune. I rang around Avon dealers and Outhill. The worse price I got was 760! I rang BHG at Lymington and as luck would have it they had an ex-display one avaible. It had the holes cut out for steering etc but had never been used on a boat. Got it for 250 complete with upholstry and backrest. Very chuffed

Google 'Stainless Rivnuts'.

You might get away with ftting them in the floor, if there are some long enough.

They are like pop rivets with a thread in the middle.

You need a tool to fit them, but it can be done with a bolt and nut. Try putting a penny washer below the deck, if you have access. Bear in mind that you might be cutting a big hole in the deck to fit cables anyway.

I think I saw that one when I was down at BHG a couple of weeks ago. Well done.

Here it is!

Think I'm just going to cut a hole and put a small hatch in under the console now which will allow me to bolt though using normal bolts. Will certainly be the strongest, easiest and cheapest option. Might be handy being able to get access down there as well.
