Top Off!

Shrink Wrap!!!! I wondered how I was going to get in!!!! Sorry lads but I won't be taking her top off quite yet! I don't want to rush things! Right now she's in transit from the Cotswolds to sunny Scotland so best she keeps her top on for the time being, she'll need it in Scotland for sure. Still waiting for a time slot to have the engine expertly fitted by Philip Beckwith of Yampower Glasgow, so sorry, but the top stays on till then. Once the engine's on I'll be sure to post a few photies.

Great setup thanks to Ribnet members and in particular Matt H's advice, as well as both Ribcraft's and Yampower's superb service. Sadly I was only out a couple of times this year but, despite that, managed to well and truly scare myself. I now know why Matt H had the footstraps fitted. A very different boat to the old 5.4 Searider with the 115 Suzuki I had before. With a lot less weight it tends to get airborne a lot easier and the teleflex hydraulic steering is a lot lighter/neater too, worth the extra cash. Easy to launch and store in comparison to the Searider and so much more comfortable than the lowrider Searider seating position. Despite being quite a bit lighter than the Searider it appears to be at least as solid if not more and everything is really well thought out with fantastic storage and deck drainage. Does feel a lot smaller though and not much deck space in comparison. Still running a 17" prop so I think there's a bit more oomph left there when I get the 19", someone even suggested with the low weight I might get away with a 21". Speed trials will unfortunately have to wait till next year. Certainly felt extreemely fast though!
