My new boat website please take a look!

Hello ribnetters, as I mentioned on the introductions page I'm trying to make a career out of my greatly loved passion of boats. This is my next stage I'm trying to offer poeple an easy platform to buy and sell their boats, boat stuff and recently introduced a Boat charter section where you can advertise your boat Charter Business or indeed find a boat to charter.
I know theres alot of sites out there so whats different about mines? Well its only £10 to advertise with us for 16 weeks, its simple to navigate and theres an opertunity to add as many photos as possible.
Please take a look. Any feedback would be appreciated.
We're getting hits from as far afield as Japan USA and Australia as well as a good covering in Europe and Scandanavia.
I'm obviuosly working hard to promote this site and visiter numbers are increasing day on day. (I'll talk to you guys later about this, got a seed of an idea to get the rib decalled and try and visit every marina, harbour and chandler in UK, big task but like I say its just a seed).PLease check it out.

Past experience would suggest "Yes", if they break The Rules.

"Anyone can register and post as an individual, even if they work in the RIB industry. However, if you use the forums to promote your business you are required to join as a trade member" - JK

Anyone who use the forum to promote their business are required to become a trade member. The "exception" to this rule is people who just have a link in their signature. As soon as you start saying 'we can do that' or 'check out our new...' then they will find their posts removed and a friendly pm! If you see something you think is promoting a business from a non trade member then feel free to use the (!) Icon to alert us. I have left this post temporarily as I thought it would be of general interest.

I could name quite a few who offer and promote their/the business they work for and they've not been upgraded ! Not that it bothers me in the slightest but if it's okay for them to do it I see no difference to allowing the OP to do the same, or anyone else for that matter.

Personally I'd rather everyone was made to pay up as it's money very well spent.

I'll not report anybody it's not my place to do so but this is the first post I've seen relating to this topic and he's been asked to upgrade. Whereas I've seen quite a lot from other members offering services without the same requests ? Just wondering why this one has been chosen so quickly ?

Remember that PM you got from me when you first started advertising on here loads?
That's how it's usually handled-so other members are unlikely to see people being told to stop it or posts removed.

If you could see 'behind the scenes', there's a fair bit of unauthorised advertising that's been removed.

Pete, its in your interest to report other inappropriate posts as you are paying for the privilege so why shouldn't they. Otherwise you are subsidizing them.

Ribnet, works on a system of reactive moderation, and we don't actually read every post. I can assure you that a couple of people a week get posts removed and the associated pm. The op was cut some slack because it may have general interest, and its a new venture. But should we be helping him get up the Google rankings and attracting new customers ?

Fair points but I seem to remember it's was actually my 2nd post that got removed having listed 2 "wanted" ads. At the time I didn't actually realise the different membership options and paid up when advised.

Like I said I'm not bothered if other people get reported or not. Yes I'm paying for them but I don't see it that way. Everybody can do as they see fit. I appreciate posts get removed and fair enough this member may need to look at upgrading (it's well worth it).

One thing though.... You DON'T read every post ? WHY NOT I pay £100 per year to write on here, the least you can do is read them all.. :runs to hide
