MUDDY hull

i mentioned in a previous thread about the state of the tubes and hull on a SR4 i just aquired, well more bad news and maybe a hint that could save some others on here.

Just spent 2 hrs with a soil pipe snake attachment for my karcher (other pressure washers available) jetting the flooding hull, i have removed 57kg of mud/clay/silt lumps from the Avon, not including the stuff the washer broke down and spewed out with the water, in total 4 bucket fulls measured with my fishing scales.

So, if leaving on a "drying" mooring, suggest you plug your holes up or fetch out once a month and jet it clean.

The saga will continue as i refurb it, more to come...................

I did get some laughs from Bam Bam and my mate when my SR4 was spewing mud and twigs out of the hull at 30kts.
