Mst

More out of interest than anything else but has anyone driven an MST RIB? They seem to be doing very well of late and standard of fit out always looks excellent but I'd be interested to hear opinions on their general performance and handling etc.

One thing that strikes me is that unlike most builders who have a proven hull design that is either scaled or lengthened/shortened to suit, pretty much every size of MST RIB seems to have its own unique hull shape.

Generally an excellent design, test and build, from the bottom up.
I used MST Rescue 1000 twin diesel/jet lifeboat for a few years that the RNLI liked so much, they bought it (3), albeit in a modified version.
I think they will make the next ones themselves though, under licence.
Also regularly use an MST Rescue 900 9m RIB, was with 2 x 250, now 2 x 200, very capable & well behaved. Now also used by Maryport & St Abbs independent lifeboats, but they are generally bespoke, and made and sold to likes of MoD Law Enforcement & SAR with a price tag to suit. I don't think many are in private hands, not yet anyway.
They also make Mibs & Sibs, mainly for Defra/SAR type stuff under the SIT Brand.
