I wonder if biff fancies some white dust.....mine could do with a polish....(oh ....mines got a pesky engine and stuff attached to it..so flipping it isn't as simple....)

This had an engine and console on it when I started. It's got little bits on it but is an old boat and it was pretty beat up. It's the best I can do

Given that the lighter of our two SR4s starts to feel just a shade squirrelly at speed with a 40, I'm thinking a BF50 will be... fun  .
One of those pushes our Ribcraft 4.8 along a knot or so faster than the SR4, and it feels at least half as heavy again.

I'm hoping the extra 10 horses will compensate for the extra weight of a 4s. The old Yam 40 2s pushed her along at 33kts, if I get anything over 30kts I'll be happy. If I can beat the 33kts I'll be ecstatic (chine walking here we come).

We launch with about 20kg of concrete forward of the console, throw it over the side attached to buoys, then take it back in with us, and as you suggest, I think it is better with it there than not. The other SR4, which is heavier and has the console where Avon put it, feels more stable.
Tigga's hull really does look smart in those pictures .

My SR with a 40 four stroke yam did 32 and would chinewalk with normal trim settings. More nose down than normal and would settle down. Great fun Did appledore to lundy . All the way around driven flat out and round in circles and back to appledore on 23 litres of fuel. Awesome!! Can wait to see yours all rigged and ready to go!!

I'm going to put a 25l fuel tank and anchor with loads of chain in the bow, that should work.
I've not seen Tigga's hull, just the same pictures on here as everyone else. I'm currently only a couple of miles from Biff's instead of the usual 140 miles and the temptation to pop over for a sneaky look is overwhelming. Must resist the temptation.
