Will have to get to the west coast then! I have a week off in september where I was hoping to get away with the boat and the Mrs - she will be fairly well pregnant by then, but i didnt see anything in the information sheet at her 12 week scan about not Ribbing!

I am lucky enough to do most of my cruising in west Cork out of Crookhaven lots of interesting places to call to all within easy reach ..
But recently I spent a weekend based in Gighia and cruised north on day one calling in to see Corrvreckan,Easdale Craighouse, on day 2 we called to Port Askaig and Port Ellen then back to Cushendall.. definitely nice area.. But then again so is west Cork / Kerry

West Coast of Scotland is epic.
Lived here and sailed/motored here for 25 years not seen 10% of it yet!!Been to St Kilda ,Orkneys. So much more to see.Nowhere like it in the world.....Friendliest people most.. evil midgies!! Love it!!....Wheres my Clynelish it was there a minute a go?

Did exactly the same on Saturday, and previous Saturday, beautiful, but I suspect that some Welsh and Scottish coasts would be even more dramatic.
