more help req

got boat home(again)1st put brand new battery on bridged wires to turn it over very low spark nothing happened then put a brand new lesure battery on turned over great then all of a sudden battery seemed to go flat anyone no why?

did the battery gradually wind down and how long was the leisure battery turning the motor.

Leisure batteries are not normally supposed to be used for large current drain applications.
