Modification of anchor locker in valiant rib

\I have hated the anchor locker in my valiant for some time. the door was on the near vertical face. this meant that the rode had to be pullend into the boat and then stored in the locker. the suitiation was very unsatisfactory if the anchor needed to be deployed in a hurry. over the christmas. I have cut out and ope of a diameterof 255 mm for a circular viking hatch. I have also made a bulkhead using plastic chopping boards as they do not rot and are cheaper than water proof ply (which is not). I expect to have the job finished shortly. I will need to flow coat it to get a nice finish. \is flow coat the same as gel coat?
I have now a second dry locker to the front of the boat.

Flowcoat is Gelcoat with a wax additive. Be careful about the working temperature - too cold and it stays sticky. Whoever you buy it from can advise you more precisely.
