I know Bert - nice bloke and meant to be a good engineer - never had anything done by him though!

Offered me a keen deal on a new Optimax Cookee, just wanted to know if he was a legit dealer or not before taking the next steps.

I nearly bought my Opti from him - spoke loads on the phone and he seemed a decent guy who knew his stuff.
In the end my local dealer (again a top bloke) matched the deal from MME, so my decision was obvious. May be worth trying your local dealer? Ron Hale were also very competitive at the time.

He is definitely an authorised Mercury dealer - he can be seen on the Barrus stand at boat shows and does good deals
