In France its a legal requirement to have a ladder onboard. We had a collapsible setup on the Pro which was rubbish, all it did was tuck itself under the tube. The ropeladder on the VM packs up nice and small and is surprisingly effective. in an emergency maybe you could set up another rope from the bottom end of the ladder ie extending it. You could then float the unconcious MOB into the loop and possibly setting up a pulley with seat back or the aframe lift him up and drag him over the tubes, much as they do on the All weather lifeboats.
