Mercury Ocean Runner 350

Hi all,

Advice please looking at buying a Mercury Ocean Runner 350 with a Yamaha 30 4 stroke, all looks in good nick anyone had any experience of these ribs, I've had a 5M Humber and a Fletcher faro before looking at down sizing and returning back to the rib fold, but have never used such a wee rib(its 3.4m long 1.8m wide)....anyone have any experience of these???

Thanks in advance

RossB

I owned one for two years, it depends what you want to use it for, great for pottering around on rivers etc. The hull is very shallow so it's a very lumpy ride in anything but a dead calm sea. That said I took mine from calshot to Yarmouth. Also Poole to Lulworth cove. You could spend a whole day out on about £6 of fuel.

Thanks for the replies guys, it will be used mainly on the Tay and Forth estuaries maybe with the occasional trip north to Loch Tay etc and a spot of fishing.

Does anyone know what the sea rating is A, B C or D? Cant go and see it until next week, also an idea of price for a good condition 1-2 year old with a 2 year old engine with around 30 hours on it

Thanks again for the replies
