menai bridge slip

If anybody has recently used the slip at Menai bridge (North Wales)I would be grateful for any local info as I intend to use it on Wednesday for a spot of Ribing in the straights. Its been about 15 years since I last used it and I understand that recently new apartments have been built reducing the parking etc.
We would be using a 6.5mtr Tornado and have a 4X4 for launching, would the slip be ok for that boat?
Many thanks Davej

Hi

We use the slip every couple of weeks and find it the second best in North Wales (Our slip being the best ).

Parking isn't a problem now the flats are nearly complete, there is also new boat yard where Jewsons was called Porth Daniel for parking and launching. Slip is 95% of the tide and very solid.

I have only ever seen one car struggling there and that was a yellow Subaru with Avon 560, he clearly dint have a clue

Hope this helps

Jono

I think he uses that slip with boat in tow because its the only time he gets to wheel spin his subaru.
