Regarding registering a UK beacon outside of the UK, Jon Till from McMurdo says:

"It may be possible to register in the UK - but it is not recommended. You should check with the UK EPIRB registry. The correct way to programme the unit is to get a serial number from the Finland authorities or alternatively to programme as MMSI."

apologies

Knot yet and all, apologies, I will have to pull out of purchase. I'm going to be a dad!! Due in July, not much cruising for me further than view of land unfortunately. And the money has been allocated for other things.

Thank you for your work though.

Thanks all

Nearly at the magical 10 but will wait until the 14th before sending details re bank transfer - hope that's okay with you all - the thinking being if we have an excess of 10 committed then we are more likely see a minimum of 10 pay up (taking into account last minute changes of plan, unforeseen expenditure, making babies - sorry Paul couldn't resist!!) - does that make sense!!
